SSR stock??

Repo Field Gear Collector
Okay, I bought this one here a while back and was considering putting it up for trade for a stock I need, but I realized we never had any discussion on it. I took some detailed pictures of the cut to see what you think, especially those who have original non JP Sauer SSR’s. I know SSR’s can be a little tricky but in your opinions could a Gustloff of this era be possible as an SSR? Thanks for any input.

Can you put an action into the stock and take a picture of the cutout then? It looks a bit off to me, seems as if the bottom line for the SSR base would not be perfectly flat but a bit rounded. So I would vote for non original based on these pictures, but hard to tell without trying to fit a rifle.

The Cutout maybe like the one in photo I posted . I know of 2 such Sauer SSR this one in photo and one other which is a 147/1939 Rifle can not post the other as it is not my Rifle . I would be interested to know if the Stock Base Cutout in question is like one in attached photo . I have a Period Photo which shows a SSR , scope is most likely a Dialytan 4X imo , but strange thing is the Stock has Large Disc and in the hands of Luftwaffe Soldier .Could the Stock come from a Depot Build possibly and what about SSR in posted photo ?????? . Much is still not known about the SSR`s !!!!!!! .

Thanks for the input guys, and sorry for the delay, finally remembered to snap some pictures with a BR thrown in it. Dave, it doesn’t appear to be like the attached picture as the cutout on mine drops below the ejector box wood line unlike that picture which remains cut no lower than that point. That’s interesting for sure though, never have seen a cut like that, only the Sauer internal inletting and the standard base planform shaped cutout.

From your pictures it is much too deep and the cut is not with a straight bottom but more like hand sawn. I don't like it. In my opinion not original at all.
