Standard modell ssr conversion

Got the Pics done today of my Standard Modell SSR Conversion , I hope there will be some good discussions about this SSR . It has a Very Rare type Scope used on the SS SSR . I know with all certainty that the Ajack 4X90 Dienstglas was NOT the only Scope Type used on these Sniper Rifles the SS used a large number of both Ajack & Hensoldt Scopes on both SSR and Objective Mount DBL Claw Sniper Rifles . I have info on at least 5 or 6 other such Scopes & Mounts in Collections. All the other SS Hensoldt Examples I know of have the same type marking except for one example this one only has the Runes on the Saddle like the one pictured here and all are in same serial range . These are rest of the Pics . My Apologizes also for not posting the added pics from onset .
Now I guess I should have done this from the onset and just so none thinks I am misrepresenting or playing hide the weenie with this Rifle I have added them . The last three Pics show the Rifle without the Original Base How it was when I first Bought this Rifle . With that said I and others who have seen this Rifle believe the same as I do it was an Original SS SSR . My main reason for believing this is in these last 3 Pics . IN last Row 2nd Pic and last Pic You can see what looks like rust or build up this is what happens when two pieces of metal are mated to each other with bolts or screws it`s called Scaling . Then if you look at same Row of Pics to 3rd pic from left is the Receiver Pic , here you can see were the bluing is worn away it matches Perfectly were a SSR Base goes the bluing is worn from the base flexing in Recoil after firing . Great rifle, and great pics, Dave. Such an interesting combination of Standard Modell, SS production, and an unusual scope variant (commercial at that) to see on a SSR.

That type of scope is great. I have only one repro sniper rifle in the cabinet, it is my Dad's, it is a type 3 SSR I built on a bolt mismatch byf43, and it has the exact same scope on it. It is serialled in the low 40,000 range. Puts it at around 1937. Excellent scope and optical quality. Straight commercial production, with no range markings on the elevation drum, or rifle serial, etc.

Thank You for Complement , As most Collectors will tell You good networking is a big part , But as for a lot of my Collection it a lot of work beating the hell out of the bushes . I spend 6hrs to 8hrs a day looking on the computer . Best Regards

I actually just got Mount fit to the Base and just a couple days before I took these Pics Re Placed it on the rifle that someone saw fit to remove the Base that was Originally on this SSR . The Intent of showing this is to get some discussion going on the rifle and the very interesting bolt numbering. Best Regards

I assume Standard Modell rifles like this had any Wa markings added only when pressed into military service?

Is the stock original to the rifle?

I wish I could contribute more to the discussion, but I really know just about squat about prewar stuff.

This is an oddity for sure. It's known the SS had Standard Modell's in service (I have a pic of LAH guys with them during a parade), so if it was in the system it could be used.

Pretty neat rifle, and never seen another like it. That bolt serial number is the biggest oddball thing too.

The Base is not Matching to the Mount . The Mount & Scope are matching to each other .
The Rifle is not matching to Base . The Base is from another Rifle , I used this Base to Restore or Resniper the Rifle because the Original Base was removed for and by some Moron!!!!!!!!! Idiot!!!!!!! & A_ _Hole!!!!!!!!!!
