Thats on an SVW45 and its real.
It's been heavily shellacked though.
When I see a deep stamp like that, I say let’s see the rest of the rifle. I’ve seen the rest, the stamp is good. You can’t make a call from 1 photo, you have to take it in context.

I defer to your guys’ expertise! I’ve learned yet another good tidbit of info. I never realized these stamps were so deep on these later rifles.
It’s the walnut, that generally allows the deeper imprint, as the wood is softer.
Ehh, that stamp looks fake to me... it looks like it was just done recently and that outline is pretty prominent. I've never seen one that deep before, even though this is hardwood. Does anyone have similar orignal examples like this?
