I have this tripod and case for a pair of rabbit ears binoculars. The tripod will not fit in the case with the top red piece still on and I cannot figure out how to remove it! Does anyone have any insight on how to remove it?
it doesnt come off on the model. there are a few different types of tripods and that one could be post war possibly or wartime re-used by another county. The transit case you have might be for the one with the fixed top ? not sure ?
Well I feel better it's not me! I agree it doesn't seem to come off. I have a complete cased set and wanted to use the tripod for that set. Thanks for the help....
