Turd of Turds - AX/AR41 - "Crapastic rendering" and more dealer remarketing

This was a recent closed sale at Amoskeag and of course, re-marketed by one of the Gunbroker based dealers.
I feel sorry for the winning bidder of this major POS but if the winner refuses to educate himself then so be it.

There is not one original Waffenamt, factory serial or any period applied marking whatsoever, save for the side wall Mod. 98
Even the barrel code is a fabrication. A true "crapastic rendering"

The auction houses have no incentive to verify any of their offerings, this being nearly at the top of the shite pile.

This is horrible! An amazing amount of bad work done, just to market a whole new level of sh-t and rip somebody off.
:googlie:facepalm::faint:

It really is terrible. To the point that anyone paying more than $400 for it deserves it for being stupid.

Hmmm. The link doesn't work for me. I kind of wanted to read what bull he wrote but that UnCommonwealth was the buyer and remarketer does not surprise me. Horribly bad fake. I also really wanted to see the fake barrel code.

Oh my. This is a new high in lows!!

Not even worth it as a shooter. Thing is so fake, it might even explode in your face if you chambered a round and tried to fire it.

Current thread and a "fool and his money"

Well, 20 hours to go and the seller has nearly doubled his money.
You have a 200 to 300 dollar rifle now at well over 3000.00 and not done yet.
A combination of stupidity and madness.

When polished turds are selling for over 3000.00 we are all in trouble...major LOL.

Another closed auction by same seller of AX/AR41

This was the bolt serial on a DRP Banner that closed by same seller.
Another Amoskeag rifle as well. Just unbelievable...

Someone is smoking some serious weed Bruce and I mean some serious stuff but even cheech and Chong wouldn't even touch.

Lot's of nonsense to go around here. Seller is a known shitbag. Rifle is not even a 'good' fake. Actually it's awful and if you got 'taken' with your big 'win' you're and idiot too. Sorry, not sorry. Thirdly, look at who jumps in.... rex9191NR a 'member' since October 2017 who's never won ANYTHING. ANYTHING. However now he's decided he MUST have this gem so he bids... get this, 27 times!! But shocker, he's still not the 'winner'. Yeah nothing suspicious going on here. It's like a bad joke.

This rifle surfaced in March of 2004, some email exchanges with other collectors regarding its "dubious" nature... here are the text and bidding June 2004 when it was listed (in March the owner was floating its sale privately, but no takers prompted listing it on GB)

You are bidding on a 1941 ax/ar. All numbers on the gun are matching, including stock, hand guard, butt plate. The finish on the gun is thin and has a lot of browning. The stock has been sanded and cleaned (not by me) and still could use a cleaning. At the end grain of the laminate, it is dark. Please ask all questions now! This is the first ax/ar I have ever seen and am not an expert. There is a three (3) day inspection period with non-refundable shipping. I have been very critical; it is a nice all matching rifle. I am a man of honor and expect to be treated in the same accord. I do have more pictures ask for them . Payment to be sent with a tracking number in the form of a money order or certified check within 5 days. Need FFL. No bids from outside the U.S.; $20.00 shipping and insurance. Good luck!

Wow over $3500 now I'm sure this turd will bring close to $5000, really unbelievable.

In March 2004 the owner wanted $1500 for it, no takers so he went to auction in June. Not sure what it ended for, didn't save the end text, but I seriously doubt it pulled $3000. Not that people were more intelligent or informed then, rather because had it gone that high someone would have been discussed on Gunboards or G/K, back then Gunboards still practiced relative "free speech" (It's demise at Gunboard, along with its blatant marketing practices, is what is killing the sites popularity... these are intrinsically linked, to the degree speech and opinion is limited, - and almost everything is opinion, there are precious few "facts" in the world, least of all in media of any kind - you lose what makes a site popular or profitable)
