This does not appear to be a k98k (could be). Appears soldat are in the middle of field stripping/cleaning the rifle as it looks like the bolt handle you can see about half way up the rifle.

No info on date/location - DAK somewhere in Africa.

I'm thinking more like a vz23. It appears to have a sling swivel positioned very close to the wrist.

Hard to tell what this is - bolt action/reciever is covered. Police Unit?

Looks like a Berthier carbine in it's natural environment. The action cover is interesting, and appears to be printing a curved bolt.

Look at that 2 piece stock and big ol' sight hood! I think they even have muzzle caps on them - probably just issued.

That actually looks safer than those other two!

I'm viewing this on a phone so it's hard to tell, but does the soldier spotting targets have a small pouch piggy-backed onto his sub gun mag pouch? Good way to conserve space.
