VZ24 Bring Back

Just acquired. First take down with all the rust and dust in pics. All match. Blued bolt, wrist plugged. Disc marked. Remnants of old sling cut down. Duffle cut.

There was no numbering of small parts and the follower is still original beveled.

The bore is as pristine as the bolt face in pic.

Experts on these appreciate your remarks.

Disc marking? Police? German or Czech?

Sling remnants? Was original Czech?

Intend to give it a little TLC and proper repair of duffle cut.

Pretty tickled to have found one like this these days.

Mark between pistol knob and triggerguard appears to be a sideways V and an upright V or my imagination.

Disc markings are Czech. 22P is the 22nd Infantry Regiment.

Nice German mod rifle.

The unit is czechoslovak army 22.Infantry regiment located in Jičín. With the high number it was a spare reserve unit piece, as it so looks not extra used even by germans. Refurbished by germans in war and bring back to USA.
