100% original and untouched pair of German "tropical" web Y-straps, maker stamped "hoy 42" with painted steel fittings stamped "AG&S 42". Most of these seen today are repros, pieced together, over-cleaned, or raggedy. I picked up three or four pair of these back in I believe 1993. I had an excellent fellow collector source in Italy who was finding and trading me WW2 Italian stuff found in isolated lots and army and police storage in Italy. He collected US WW1, which was/is plentiful here but he had trouble finding there. Occasionally, really cool German "tropical" lots were found. You had to move quick as they may find a box of 10 web German Y-straps and they were then gone. While these were likely originally designed for use in Africa and hot areas, as seen from period pics web equipment like this was used on all fronts.
