I've never heard of one before, but looks real.

I also spotted that one. Certainly looks real.

With these late war Walther examples, I think there are endless variations. I have learned to expect just about anything, and no 2 seem to be the same.

This example is a first for me.

Anybody else seen one?
 
Must be another reclaimed receiver or unused panel from 1944. If Darrin Weaver had encountered one he certainly would have mentioned it and photographed it for his first printing.

I will have to check back in my notes. Before we knew these were clustered around the p block I saw examples outside the range. The one I remember specifically about 24 years ago at the OGCA. It was a b block I think. Doug Smith or Lynn Lugar had it and I tried to buy it. Back then we assumed panel cuts were just a production line variation....
 
OK, so there are 2 knon to exist...for sure, more are out there.

Like I said earlier, in 1945, Walther knew the game was over and was clearly using anything available to them in order to complete a weapon for the field.
