Last of the Mauser Scoped Sporting Rifles, One with CAD Scope from Jon Speed

Is it possible to have the dimensions of the case? I have found a case that I would like to use to evocate this one. A Lady was emptying her passed mother's house yesterday and I was happy to find the "right" case for this project... Sadly, the Mauser 98 in it was already gone.

Amazing Stutzen(s)! On the 9.3X62 invoice, it is written this rifle was made for the hunt of "big cats". Is it possible to have others pictures of the case? It seems to be very nice. Thank you for sharing these gems with us

    Interesting Gewehr 98 sniper

Direct link to the Gewehr 98 siper The SSG 69 on the main page is strange. It was made in 1995 and seems to be a PI without front and rear sight. The double set trigger is usually seen on SSG 69s used as hunting rifles.

    Ligny 1815

Thank you, Peter. As usual, this is very interesting. By the way, Albert Petit was awarded for the "affaire de Fleurus". I have not found traces of this "affaire". It seems Fleurus was only the headquarter of Napoléon. I can not find a Martiny in France. Maybe this town does not exist anymore.

    Bundesarchiv links

If you type "zielfernrohr" into the fulltext and the period from 1935 to 1946, you already obtain interesting pictures. Exemple:

    Scope flash kill

I was almost sure it was a CAD scope but I will watch the DVD again to try to spot the Sauer HT. There is also a G43/ZF4 with such a flash kill if I'm correct.
