I believe this was one of the first attempts at drilling a port in the barrel, and likely came during, or at the end of the G.41 production.
This rifle still uses the G41 annular piston, and funky push operating rod.
If you don’t have any of the other parts on hand— you’re going to spend twice what that will be worth in the end. Especially with the rear sight hacked off
T, very cool rifle. It inspired me to take out my BLM that’s 1k serials off from yours. All matching, but the recoil lug is 359. No stock markings. Interesting theories here.
Recently acquired this BCD bolt group assembly with Type 1 Heavy carrier. The bolt group matched. There was originally a serial number on the bolt, FP Carrier, and locking lugs. The Bolt and FP carrier has “0’s” on the Old SN. The F/P carrier ellipse cutout for the Carrier toe also looks poorly...
Leipzig, Eastern Germany, April, 1945. A G.I. Is shown firing a G43 upward at a building. Probably a scoped example. 6:48 in the video. Pretty cool!

Neat rifle. Was made by Walther in late 1944, as most O blocks were. What gets me is the way the “AC” is stamped. Does it look like 44 under AC? Even though it’s mismatched, I would still value $2500. Is there anything in the stock trap?
Hey T,
Just picked up an early G41 AC that didn't come with a recuperator. Funny you posted this. I need to look inside the stock next time to see if there's that "nail" style key cutout!
