Yeah I honestly don't know how they are still being used today. With the rim lock alone being a big problem for me at the range I couldn't imagine relying on the weapon to save my life. It's already hard enough to fix without people shooting back. lol

Maybe not to a true collector it enhances the value, but to others it does. I'm just going based on what I see in auctions, and I've seen some pretty terrible sniper builds from RC rifles go for more than a $1000. Wouldn't doubt that this one wouldn't push upwards to $2000 or more if described...
The rifle itself is original, (saw the auction photos) but as far as it being an original sniper, Farb would know best. People will still pay big bucks for anything close to an original one so they can take it to the range without fear of damaging an authentic one, so keep that in mind! :D
