I'll probably just post it in the trader forum here. I'd rather it go to someone in the community. What would be a fair price to ask for it? That way I do ok and someone from the board does ok.
I recently acquired a numbers matching AC 42 C block pistol. Included with it is a P38 Barrel with no front sight. Bore is excellent. It is wartime.
What would something like that be worth? Not seeing any wartime barrels only for sale. I really don't need it.
Any help would be appreciated.
So when it comes to sutterlin script, what does this denote? I have a K98 bolt which definitely has the sutterlin "M" on it and nothing else. Just curious. Still learning.
Bolt is not matching. No proofs on stock. Rifling is good in the bore but it is dirty. Not counterbored. The grooves are dark. The stock is not cracked.
I have an opportunity to purchase this. It is a 1917 Amberg. He says that in 1935 it was modified to have a K98 rear sight. The stock has also been lacquered at some point.
He wants $700 for it. Would this be in line with current pricing? Or should I try and negotiate?
Thanks in advance.
Hoping I did ok. Picked this up today. Appears to be all matching minus the bolt. Also came with a '38 production E.u.F. Horster bayonet. The Bayo serial matches the scabbard. I did notice there is what looks like a small chunk missing near the magazine floor plate, but it is smooth. Do you guys...
