Even a I can spot a re-blue and a sanded stock. Quite a business this all is. I've always called it 'sheep shearing'. I know y'all are nuts about it but it is a thing that will have to run its course, IMO. Despite your efforts there are a LOT of sheep out on the pasture with $$$. The whole so called milsurp thing is dead if you think back. On GB folks want $300 for a raty 1916 Oveido that I could have purchased in 1964 for $9.95, in better condition. And yes, they use the same lame. I get what you are about but your efforts are futile. All you are left with is sniping around the edges. Same as it ever was, same as it ever was.

All matching except for the numbers and waffenamts in the pictures that are clearly non matching.

Notice that the seller doesn't say "Original matching numbers".. he would be opening himself up for fraud...the numbers DO match but they were stamped on the rifle
much later than its manufacture date....that WaA655 marked stock (along with the large stamped s/n on the left side) is a real giveaway. I don't know why people fall
for these crooked deals. Like they say "Invest your time before you invest your money".

I think people just want to believe that they have the real item. The best collector items go to collectors and the guy starting up has money but little else to go on. So he throws it on what he sees.
