RIA Long Side Rail

Would want to verify with better pictures but I am not liking the scope mount numbering on this “all matching” long side rail at RIA. Just my opinion but any potential buyers be careful.

Those mount numbers are absolutely horrid. The byf44 ZF-41 also has terrible horrible mount #s.

I heard through the grape vine that these may be from the collection of our favorite single claw faker, Koz. Not sure how accurate that is.

Actually it is pretty easy to identify this one as a fake. As a look to the serial on the barrel shank confirms this is a J. P. Sauer & Sohn assembled sniper rifle, what means it has a four digit serial with a suffix. The suffix in that case is v. The original mount to this rifle would also had carried the suffix on it - a different font than the one on the rifle though (non scripted font). This becomes well obvious if you compare the rifle serial at RIA (which is 1276v) with the all matching serial 1429v that @Dave Roberts had posted on this forum some time ago: https://www.k98kforum.com/threads/matching-sauer-lsr.42790/ . Note the suffix also on the scope mount.
