BYW, if you take the receiver out of the stock there should be 2 CGH stamps in the channel along with a 3 digit number that should match the handguard, this is subcontractor's marks that supplied the stocks to Waffenstadt and these markings only have been observed in Waffenstadt rifles. I'd say you did pretty darn good scoring that Waffenstadt it's in really good condition, any one of us would be happy to take it off your hands, wink wink PM me.

Here's mine... I was puzzled by the ### on the butt plate and then found same ### stamped in the barrel channel for the stock & HG. I see the CGH also stamped in the channel beneath the grease. Guessing C.G. Haenel made the stock.

Anyone know what the "logo" represents at the barrel collar? (see last pic)

Also, I am thinking H.SAK finished the barrel, and Roeschlingstahl is the steel maker (per Simpson). Disk is Sold. Bd. stamped. It came with an unmarked muzzle cover and dandy DSM sling.

Beautiful rifle, it looks like an inspection of the barrel coupling. I don’t study these, but I believe the assembler(s) are unknown? Likely an in house inspection for one of the Suhl firms. I like the the Roechling barrel, they made some of the barrels or blanks for the new high velocity cartridges that came out around this time.

Looks like caligraphic initials? maybe from assembler possible a gunsmith?
Evidently there exist 2 set of numbers a assembly nr. 278 probably and end serial number 7426, normally i would await 7426 too on buttstock?
