Found this in the back of my safe, excellent matching bolt Mauser KKW rifle. It’s been around 10 years since I shot this rifle, which can shoot a quarter size group at 75 yards, probably can do better with a steadier hand. Anyway thought I would share.

Mauser, Walther and Gustloff made KKWs, I think Mauser and Walther made around 5,000 each, Gustloff made over 70,000. I’m not positive on the production numbers, but Mauser was the least produced and quite hard to find. I think mine was produced in 1944. Would love to hear from collectors with more experience on these trainers.

Yes.. BSW turned into Gustloff. There was a run from the late 190,000 range to the early 200,000 range were BSW marked. One of the harder rifles to find.

Nice one. Has anyone figured out the "D.F." marking yet, or is that still a mystery?
