Sorry to say, but bringing it back to military look/spec will be an adventure in futility, and a money pit.
Not to mention virtually impossible. It's drilled and tapped on the receiver. Bolt, stock and who knows how many other parts will be required. It's a non-starter IMHO.

Too far gone. You would need a a really good smith. A barrel, from your description, a new bolt. I bet the stock is Butchered, so a new stock. All these parts will result in a complete mixmaster Frankenstein no matter what. You’re talking about hundreds of dollars for a k98k that will be mismatches and incorrect. I’m sorry, but it’s not even worth entertaining. You’re better off keeping this for shooting/hunting and finding yourself a correct k98k which pop up on this forums trader quite often.

the stock is solid just has normal wear on it if shot it a couple times now everything on the gun is solid but i definitely understand were everyone is saying it’s gonna be a lot of money and other stuff i forgot to put in there im just trying to figure out the history about it also my bad

The receiver was made in 1940 at the Mauser factory in Oberndorf, the original facility founded by the Mauser Brothers.

There's not really much to it beyond that. It's a Nazi-era rifle that was made for the German military and turned into a hunting rifle some time after the fact. It's not worth the time, effort, or money to restore.
