Found the Long Side Rail Scope Can for Gustloff Long Side Rail 58895. Maybe owner is here. Can missing D rings. Maybe removed due to sound.

Edit: I have the can and I'm looking for the rifle's owner that bought rifle at Legacy. Maybe the owner is here and will respond? Thanks.

just putting the pieces together.. I suppose he may have not realized others saw the can as well.. I stumbled onto it and passed the info along to a friend..

If you manage to get ahold of the current rifle owner, only sell to him if he promises to make pictures of the reunited set and post them here on the forum :D

Probably not doing that, but if you want to know what I finally find out then remind me sometime and I'll do my best to deliver some form of connection here.

Possibly but if I had the rifle I’d personally want the matching can of course. I just think there’s a limited few of us who really follow much of this stuff that closely. The rifle possibly sits in a safe and never comes out again until the their relative decides what to do with it.

That's exactly why you just have to convince your wife to let you hang up your collection in the living room!!
