Help identifying my Mauser

Hello, I’ve had this Mauser k98 for 12+ years, it was my first Milsurp rifle and the catalyst that got me into military rifles. I was wondering if anyone can help me identify and value the rifle. I think it was made in the oberndorf plant pre war

Everything is matching except the bolt and stock ring disk. Everything else is matching. Rifle Looks like it seen stock refurbishment, with the part of the rifle stock being cut and repaired. And previous owner having drilled the stock for rifle sling

1939 Mauser Oberndorf with a Depot spare barrel installed. Can't make out the final WaA proofs but pretty neat it has a depot spare barrel. Unfortunately it has the scars left behind from someone long ago trying to sporterize it by trying to get the barrel off.

That front barrel band is from the periode: late 1943 to 1945, and the sight hood was to my knowledge not introduced in 1939. Does the front sight base have grooves to accomodate a hood?
Thanks for sharing!👍😊

yes it has groves to accommodate a hood, the front site hood looks like it was added later. As the finish/age doesn’t match the rest of the gum metal of the rifle
