Interesting Period Photos, 98k Missing Parts

Here’s a couple photos in book I was gifted, written by Hook, Sharpe and Davis titled “Elite Attack Forces, Waffen-SS, Elite Forces 2”

One of the grenadiers mounted atop the armor has what looks like a missing barrel band and hand guard.



The second photo is of a troop cleaning his rifle during some downtime.

Most real is the area of the upper ring is not good visible on the photo, is possible the pieces are there but not visible on the picture.
