New to me 42 code Luger from 1939.

I haven't had it apart yet but all external numbers match. The grips are unnumbered but have large letters stamped on them.

Magazine appears to be East German.

I love the reddish and orange plum coloring on this Luger, that's what drew me to it. That and it can go with my 42 code kar98k.

Appears correct for a late '39 Luger but I'm open to any feedback.

Nice Luger. Any markings anywhere on the magazine? Appears to be type 3. What are the letters on the grip panels?
Checkering matches my 1939/42 Sn. in q suffix. May be a few more pics. Very nice though with the dual tone finish.
Apparently hot salt immersion blue temp. variation caused the dual tone on components.

Congrats on the Luger! I will say that this one has been reblued, note the visible polishing in breechblock. The color of the blue is off as well. Even with the hot salt blue they’ll bear a very subtle halo around the barrel SN and extractor serial numbers. It’s just not as prominent as the rust blued guns. I’m bringing this up in the event it was sold to you under the claim the finish was original.
