I just acquired a bayonet marked S/244, it has wood grips. The serial # on the bayonet matches the sheath. All so on the sheath, it is marked S/244 over 36. IS 36 the date (1936)? Is there a small screw that goes on the top of the scabbard that might touch the 3/16" of the blade? thanks Dave
