Oooo I like that graph. So according to this, ethically I could take this rifle hunting up to 300 m.

The scope I bought in e-bay and mounted on a yugo m48 bo. The original bolt on the yugo m48 doesn't bend as sharp as the 98k so I had them bend the bolt. That and drill and tap are the only gunsmithing I have done. At 100 yds I have gotten groups of 5touching within 1.5 in from each other.

So could it be possible that this once was a hunters scope that the military took and maybe mounted on one of their rifles?

I have a hinsoldt-wetzlar pre ww2 scope that is 4x. The site reticle is the german T post with a small dot in the middle. I have a pre-war Hinsoldt-wetzlar 4x scope that is in relative condition that I have attached to a yugo m48BO for hunting purposes but also for the "ww2 german sniper aesthetic. My question specifically is there a way to seal up this scope so it can be more "waterproof"?

I went ahead and ordered the rage disk and got it zeroed. So far it is accurate to the range.

I was thinking. If this replacement disk is for a 3x scope and mine is a 4x scope, the distance markers might not line up quite exactly. Would that be correct?

Would you know where I can find the specs of the crosshairs like how wide of an area does the crosshair cover? Or any way to get a guess of range of a target using just the crosshairs?

What is the ring towards the back of the scope that has the screw for? Also would you know of any "accessories" that would fit on the scope like a sunshade, etc?

Yes it was ground. The m48 bolt is not as bent as the kar98k. When I had the scope and long side rail installed, I asked them to make sure it can cycle. The bolt does match the rifle

If I do go this route I might just get it with a visa gift card. I'm curious though on when this scope was made cause through my research so far I haven't found a scope that shares the german t post with a black dot in the middle.

I shared some pictures of the scope on this forum. How would I know if this model can allow the range wheel to be calibrated cause that does sound useful as I do intend to use this for hunting

A while back I built a m48 "k98 sniper" clone and had picked up a 4x hensoldt wetzlar scope and am looking for references on how this scope works. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.
