Here's my only 98k, a lonely sentinel in a safe of Gew98's. I got this from a coworker many years ago. He'd got it (many years earlier) from a local estate auction, said there was a scoped one there but he didn't have the money for both. The front sight, bayo lug, follower, buttplate, & action...

Excellent pickup & still walnut! I've got it's exact twin in the "n" block, same appearance & original matching.

That's a good one! With only the floorplate & follower m/m, there's a good likelihood it sported an extended mag at one time.

Use caution. I had a Gew98 nut that had an end piece of the rod still stuck in it, with the thread finial protruding...

Shortly after the 2013 show I traded the owner (Jerry) a front night site for some extra G98 rods he had. I'm surprised these all came available. As I recall he was going through a divorce in 2015.

Regarding the flipped disk, the wood is proud around the disc. Unless you've got experience it would be best to pass on that endeavor to keep from honking up that beautiful wood....
