Odd Stamps on a Friends new DOU 44
No electropencil anywhere on it, it doesn't have an X stamped on the receiver or barrel either. Stock is beat it hell, but I doubt the stock is original to the rifle as they'd moved to full K98 production well before 1944. One waffenamt proof on the barrel closest the handguard is still...- Spivey

Odd Stamps on a Friends new DOU 44
Howdy! My roommate recently purchased a new (maybe) k98. The rifle is a badly used and abused DOU 44 in what appears to be a VZ 24 stock. The bayonet lug is marked circle Z, the bolt is marked circle Z, and the underside of the receiver is marked circle Z. The eagles are mostly...- Spivey
