    K43 ac44 Panel Cut 5458 p block

Congrats on a superb panel cut G43! I don't think you'll ever be able to upgrade from this one, just an outstanding rifle all around.

    1912 Danzig Kar98a 5187

You certainly have an eye for the pretty rifles, that's a beautiful piece of walnut on it. Congrats on a stunning prewar Kar98a!

    GEW 88s

It sure is, they seem to be harder to find intact and untouched than most other Imperial rifles and we could always use more nice examples in the reference. I've never seen one in person that wasn't sanded into a toothpick.

    Rescuing a sporterized Kar98b?

Thanks, it smells good too! Thanks, I really like the tiger striping on this stock. I'll have to take some pictures in direct sunlight, it really pops when exposed to it. That would make sense given the variance I've seen between lugs so far. I found a CZ bayonet lug that seems to line up but...

    Rescuing a sporterized Kar98b?

The recoil lug nut had the holes spaced just far enough apart that the standard Mauser spanner that I had wouldn't fully engage with both holes. So the only option left to make one myself. I took dimensions of the recoil nut hole spacing and modeled a spanner to fit that in CAD and made a...

    Rescuing a sporterized Kar98b?

Hi all, It's been slow going as I've been relegated to working on this on weekends but I finished the stock using the extra dark Schaftol and think it turned out pretty well. I used 3 coats in progressive stages of time spent applying where the first coat was the longest, the second about a bit...

    1906 WMO

This one has definitely been through it but is in quite nice shape overall! Depot guns are always neat to see as if it warranted a trip to a depot, it most likely saw some serious service or combat and tells a story much better than something that sat on a rack its whole life. Thanks for sharing...

    SPANDAU 1911

What time capsule did you pull this rifle from? Finding anything pre war still intact is hard enough, this is a wonderful Spandau, thanks for sharing it here.

Cashing in on the Knowledge of Others

That's a particularly egregious example of this behavior. I'm expecting a $1000 check for my services in 10+ years when it sells lol.

    WMO 71-84

That's a stunner of a WMO, good luck upgrading from that one. Congrats on a rare beauty of a 71/84!

Luftwaffe 98K- what did they have?

Welcome to the forum, I would recommend looking at the picture reference thread but Luftwaffe contract rifles are scattered throughout most manufacturers up through 1941. Mauser Oberndorf was the largest manufacturer for K98ks in terms of pure volume and would be the most common to find for a...

I've learned so much over the past 3 years using this forum, especially for Imperial weapons that this is easily worth donating to. This is an awesome community here. Funds sent via Venmo

    1890 ŒWG Gewehr 88/05 9293s with damage

That's an awesome rifle and excellent pics to boot, congrats on picking it up! I didn't realize that there were 2 separate methods of adding the stripper clip guides, I have to wonder if the methods were depot or arsenal specific.

    1943 byf arrived

You can't just tease us with a matching byf 43 in walnut and only post pics, post some more! From what it looks like, it looks like a nice early byf 43.

    Mauser K98 blueprints

Does anyone know the thread size and pitch used for the recoil lug and have a print showing the dimensions of the lug? I see in RH 8/3307A, they call it out by drawing number 3ME6904-4.
