Does your have have the additional sling carve outs in the stock? I’ve heard that was part of the French way.

Stock is unmarked except for a small L stamp on where the sling goes through

I did notice that but I had also wondered if maybe it was put into the gun originally I know the C block is when you start getting the French produced ones, could’ve been possible they were trying to turn these out and didn’t pay attention to the number

I’m fairly new here the other guys know WAY more then me, but I would think since it’s been refinished and drilled and tapped it wouldn’t be worth trying to restore

From my understanding he is looking at anything pre 1920 that’s 7MM preferably a straight stock. Like I said I don’t know a lot about them I just thought I’d post on here to help him out.
