    phf stock?

I have this laminated stock and in the barrel channel it appears to have a lower case phf stamp. No numbers except maybe a 5 near the cleaning rod nut. Nothing under buttplate either. Any ideas as to manufacturer? No waffenampts or serials but it might have been sanded at one point.

    Armorer’s Replacement Band? Mauser Borgiswalde

So this band was on the wrong rifle but looking at it closer I think it’s a 41-42 Mauser Borgiswalde armorers’ replacement band. No signs of refinish or serial number. Let me know what you think. Has Waa 26.

    bcd 41 stock?

Have a group of rifles that are mismatches and one was in this stock which I believe would be correct for a bcd 41. Small eagle H on right side. Has the a18 on take down disc. 8942 serial in channel and a z marked just in front of action in channel. Here’s some pics to comment on what...

    ce 43 unfinished sniper

I have in my possession an unfinished ce 43 side rail sniper. It was sporterized at some time unfortunately but is a matching barreled action with the thick side rail and the milled flat on the left side of the receiver. Is it worth my time finding the parts for this and perhaps putting a repro...

    Second group

Saving the best two for last. First is a Kriegsmodell svw 45 'a' block. This one is all matching barreled action that was in all things, an Israeli stock set when I bought it. I swapped for a correct late 135 marked stock (unfortunately sanded a bit), found what I believe are correct bands and...

Looking for a review of a couple restorations

Just looking for feedback on these restorations I've done over the last couple decades. I used BBOTW for reference, first edition and I know it has some things wrong. I'll include a description of the rifle and what I put on it to restore it. Let me know what I've done wrong LOL and what should...

    Correct stock for svw45 K98?

I know it will be a full Kriegsmodell type band assembly and no bayo lug - but, would it possibly have a take down disc still or not at all? It is an a block rifle.

    Stock marking

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wehrmacht-Stock-Mauser-K98-with-metal-parts-upper-lower-ring-lock-/370944740075?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item565e078aeb So I have a stock with the same 'phh'? marking in the barrel channel - it is unmarked other than that and no serial or waa's. Has a take down...

Stain to use on byf 41 stock restoration

Some of you have seen my extremely poorly done bubba the hut cut byf 41 rifle stock here - http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread.php?4957-Bubba-the-Hut-Strikes-Back-on-a-41-and-42-byf!! I picked up the rifle today from the guy who grafted on the donor front end from the busted Portugeuse 41...

    RC ce 43 SSR?

Just saw a ce 43 (IIRC) Russian Capture tonight - has the thick top of the left sidewall and a milled flat where the side markings would be - can't tell for sure but I believe the holes were welded shut (as they did with ex-91/30 snipers) but they were machined as the side and inside rail the...

Some nice parts I have accumulated over the years (or decades)

Some of my trigger guards, followers and floorplates, as well as a milled/welded closed byf band and a gqm 44 buttplate that still has the red paint inside butt was painted black - should take a wire wheel to that. Also, three nice bayo lugs, one 280 no serial # and two WaA 519? one with a...

How to tell who made a stock and who made a couple bayo lugs?

Is there a list/description/photo record to show where laminated stocks were at least possibly made when the waffenampts are either unreadable or gone? I have several stocks that I think might be one thing, but see others say they are something else. Can you tell by size of take-down disc...

Bubba the Hut Strikes Back on a 41 and 42 byf!!

Recently bought 2 byf's - a 41 and 42. 41 is all matching #s. But, the goof cut the stock in front of the action and at the lower band, plus whittled one band width's worth of wood to set the band farther back. I would like to repair the stock, anyone have a cut off/broken walnut stock? I...
