    k98 Legit?

Not a gustloff collector but the bolt strength serial being that direction, safety being 4 digit and shroud and stem 3, blued take down disc?, and a kreigsmodel buttolate would tell me to stay away from this one. Someone more knowledgeable will chime in soon enough! Sent from my SM-G965U...

Thanks for letting me know it falls in line in that regard! Do you have your own study on these kreigsmarine rifles? Today might not be the day but I can probably open up my living room windows and get some decent natural lighting there Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

It is a light colored stock so that wouldn't surprise me but it doesn't look bad in hand. As far as bluing I can get some more photos after work, the lighting was pretty bad I just tried to get some quick photos taken. No marks on the take down disc thay I could discern. Sent from my...

Thanks for the kind words Dan! It's a DSLR, I really don't know much about photography but I wanted to be able to take good photos of my rifles. They look okay but on my computer a lot of them look kind of blurry with is unfortunate. I will probably take it down and retake a lot of these...

Hello all, Attached are pictures of my latest addition. The stock stamps are hard to distinguish but I took some quick pictures to post on the forum. Cheers, Erich

    Random forum help

Yeah they had done some security updates recently which makes the links be https. Almost all of those links are from before the change over. MrFarb said earlier he's going to have to go through all of them and update them. Well I'm glad it worked for you and you can see the reference material...

    Random forum help

Interesting, I've never experienced that before. Just to verify the links aren't changing to http you may want to go to one one the sticky reference threads and make sure in the thread the link has the https where you're having the issue. That may have been what you already tried though! Sent...

In the address bar at the top of your screen where you type the website you want to go to. You may have to double click on it to see the whole thing but it probably will say "http://www.k98kforum.com" and you can add the s there to get "https://www.k98kforum.com" Sent from my SM-G965U using...

Numbered action screws on My K98k?

There's a C block in the picture regerence sticky and they aren't numbered on that one. I think you're good but that it is 30000 rifles later in production Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Geco DSM 34 Duffel Cut

I'm glad I waited to bid, they dropped it $50 on the day before it ended. I didn't think the price was too bad for what it was considering the prices on the other ones on there Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

I thought you might recognize one in there! Also you may notice the gap in the rack, hopefully that one shows up soon. You saw this trainer for sale too? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Geco DSM 34 Duffel Cut

Picked up a little 22 trainer for a fun shooter to go plinking with. Was told the forend was lost and replaced with another piece of wood and it isn't drilled for a stacking rod. Took a few quick pictures with the phone. Starting to fill in the rack! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

I thought the floor plate numbers looked kind of look weird at first too but I bet with a better quality would show they are good. After zooming in on my phone it seems it's just the normal weirdness of the steyr stamps/font. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

I like what I see. Pictures of bolt would be nice if it's advertised as all numbers matching. Dang that firing proof on the LR looks like it was stamped hard. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    BNZ. 4 2497 b

For those that wanted to see cutout photos to tell if it had been sanded, seems to me the rear portion of the bolt cutout is much more rounded/worn than the front. I didn't want to play around with removing the sling again today but the sling cutout seems to have crisp lines to my eyes. Looking...

Yeah it's not a Steyr style hood, I have the rounded Steyr type on my 45 dated rifles. I just wasn't sure if there was anything different considering unnumbered band weirdness and all. Thanks for letting me know it should be numbered!
