Speaking as a non expert... I don't like the wear patterns near the mounts and on the scope they feel somewhat artificial to the eye, almost looks like a brillo pad was used to make everything look like it was matched together. That being said it would make a lovely reenactor piece. I think...

I agree that is an IOR scope and the overall features of the rifle are consistent with a vz24!

I just noticed mine lacks the tiny screw in the side of the dial yours has, possibly a military contract addition? My scope is 701XX serial range, so not terribly far away from yours

How does it shoot? I loved shooting a PU mosin, more than the PEM actually.

Was watching this one, even as a novice I had my doubts. Numbers were obviously bad, something about the mounts looked off and the wear on all of the parts was mismatched.

I was wondering if anyone out there reproduced the wider bands for the late model long side rail mounts. I was told the banded base was not different between narrow and wide and that it was only band width.

Found these today... very cool what appears to be a unit marked scope, possibly a reissued item?

Photo appears to be 43 at the earliest based on equipment. I am still undecided if it has the sunshade or not, it appears far too short in the front to be that.
