I am trying to determine the origin of the rifle pictured. It has no markings on the receiver apart from a serial number on the L/H side, and 7.62 stamped into the right side. It has obviously been refurbished at some point, and I was hoping someone can shed some light as to what it is / might...

I picked up this rifle recently - Brazilian 1908 #2038. All of its numbers are matching, and its bore is in good condition. I am new to Mauser collecting, and hoping to learn more about these rifles from other collectors along the way. Chris
