    Matching ftd RG34

My ftd partial kit came yesterday, super happy with it. Sadly not complete, but behalter is beautiful, really nice paint, good marking. The chain is marked kcy, no WaA, and the brushes look unused...I have some spare oilers (no ftd's of course) in my gun show totes, so I can at least throw one...

Just got a call from my buddy back in NY, he picked this up for me...says it has 2 brushes and the chain, no oiler or spoon it sounds like, but hey, I don't have an ftd, so I'll take it! It'll be on its way, I'll post it up when it comes in...

For the low price of 5k, and it’s not even an April Fool’s joke!

If someone pays $5k for that thing, they are, 100% beyond a doubt, by definition, stupid. Regardless of the rest of your points.

    DAK vz24?

Just my swag, that soutache looks pretty dark, I'd say maybe Pioneer...looks like it might be black... Belt and Y's are leather, not web, not that necessarily means anything...just an observation.

Howdy from Texas and Help ID Image

A lot of Chinese Mausers were made in field shops, or small factories doing their thing, a lot of not documented marks on Chinese stuff, that doesn't look German at all to me...

What could have caused this stain?

Don't know, likely you'd at least need to take some scrapings from the wood, which would impact the stock, so I don't think i would if it had to be destructive means...but maybe they could use a flouroscope or something? Never researched how to do it...

BYF45 Stone Mint - possibly unfired

When they are pointing out the bolt cut out, it is the edges you need to look at...see how sharp and defined the edges are in the picture posted by Bruce? Now compare to the rounded smooth edges on yours, a surefire, telltale sign of sanding. Also, as was pointed out, the button on the recoil...

BYF45 Stone Mint - possibly unfired

I wouldn't shoot it, it looks like some good set back on the recoil lug which could be the reason for the crack in the laminate behind the receiver...
