    K43 qve 5277d

No, the rifle was on the upper level Row 22A not far off the main entrance - I purchased it on Saturday around 1730. I briefly examined it on my first pass through that morning and came back to it after I had walked both levels. The other G/K43s I came across were rather junky and way...

    K43 qve 5277d

I picked this up at the Tulsa show a few weeks ago - I have been on the hunt for a better-than-average example after selling my placeholder K43 qve to a local collector/shooter a few years ago. It came with a "G43" marked magazine which is a bonus, but the buttstock was empty. The rifle is...

K43 qve - help with letter block

Hello all - After a three year search, I finally found a beautiful (I believe untouched), K43 qve to fill a hole in my collection - detailed pictures to follow in the coming days, but I have an initial question for the group: is this rifle from the "a" block or "d" block? Unfortunately, the...

    MP40 & MP38 Parts Manual (D 167/2) - MP40 & MP 38 Training "Merkblatt" Leaflet - MG34 Maintenance Manual

The D167/2 manual has an outer, thicker stock paper front and back, an interior title page, 14 pages of text followed by a separation page marked, "Bilder" ("Pictures"), followed by ten (10) fold out picture pages. Here are a couple more:

    MP40 & MP38 Parts Manual (D 167/2) - MP40 & MP 38 Training "Merkblatt" Leaflet - MG34 Maintenance Manual

I recently and happily stumbled on these three manuals - from some brief research and inquiries it appears that the two concerning MP40s and MP38s are fairly scarce. The D 167/2 has multiple fold-out pages of the type pictured below. All thoughts and comments welcome. Ernie

    K98k no letter block byf45 - C* Stock

I should clarify - I know better than to clean or mess with the wood - my cleaning was confined to a basic field strip of the bolt, swabbing the bore, and wiping off dust and cobwebs.

    K98k no letter block byf45 - C* Stock

Hello all - Picked this up locally a couple of weeks ago - seller offered several WWII field gear items along with several "Nazi-marked" items using a site that does not allow for the sale of firearms. The seller included a close up picture of the small waffenamt on the receiver just before...

    1944 K43 field manual

Maybe you are thinking of the elusive large size K43 booklet which I believe is roughly similar or identical in size to the large size G43 booklet. Frankly, I have never had one in hand, seen one for sale, or seen one on display at a gun show or otherwise. Also, I do not recall anyone on this...

    1944 K43 field manual

Yes, it appears that there is a single extra double sided printed page glued to the inside center edge of the blank page at the end of the booklet. That certainly begs the question about whether your booklet and the two booklets I have with "Unveranderter Nachdruck Nov. 44" on the cover were...

    1944 K43 field manual

Hi Peter - let me show you what I have and you be the judge. The first picture includes the seven small sized booklets in my collection. The four on the right side include the sentence, "Unveranderter Nachdruck Nov. 44" on the cover which you state translates to "Unchanged Reprint Nov. 44"...

    1944 K43 field manual

Your booklet is also the earlier of the two small size K43 booklet versions (top right in the following picture) - the later of the two small size booklets (middle right in the following picture) included an addendum of disassembly instructions for rifles not equipped with hold open latches on...

    G43 duv44 for review

Looks like I need to walk back my earlier comment on this post. I am quite surprised actually – neither Hitler’s Garands or Rough Forged state the existence of such magazines, although Mr. Weaver does indicate by way of a footnote that “gcb” “G43” marked magazines are rumored to exist. It is...

    G43 duv44 for review

Agreed, very nice example. However, Yale and Towne Mfg. C. Leitwerke, Velbert, Heidestr. ("awj") only produced "K43" marked magazines. The magazine pictured appears to have a non-period "G43" overstrike and is partially repainted. Sad to see a fairly rare magazine ruined like that.
