    S/42 König variant?

Well, where you're located and the availability of this type of weapon for purchase matters a lot.

    Gunbroker K43

I did think about that. Not in regard to you doing it, but a few people have pulled that. Usually there's some 'unexpected bills' story as a defense.

    IX 43 Depot rifle

Very interesting. Never saw this variant before. The wood looks in wonderful condition based on the cutouts and stamps. Thanks to the owner for allowing you to share this!

    Gunbroker K43

Wow. He had dropped the price to $3900 here, so a pretty significant price bump taking it over to Gunbonker.

    Russian capture K98 question

I was also thinking maybe $700. Splotchy metal finish is the worst part IMHO. Also it doesn't look like anything is peened out.

Buttstock stamps on newly acquired rifle.

I've mostly seen unknown regarding these, but if anyone knows who some of them might be, it's probably Stephan.

Buttstock stamps on newly acquired rifle.

First time I've seen one oriented in this way. I've only seen them running the long way on the butt. I wonder what maker this is on.

    Casing not ejecting properly 98K

Agreed. If the ejector is good (and this one looks fine), it's most likely the spring. Sometimes just rebending it a bit so it puts pressure on the ejector again works.

    S/42G opinions.

I don't like it for a variety of reasons.

    Hello, new K98 owner here!

Well what you show looks like it's matching and correct to the screws, minus the bolt of course. Now for this gun, the butt plate would be marked with the serial number and block suffix, so whatever you find to add won't be matching. I'd imagine it would be worth replacing those few missing...

Identifying a K98 sling, is it real??

I was thinking the same thing. There's literally nothing they won't ruin with these fake stamps. Just so utterly stupid.

    Hello, new K98 owner here!

Agree with the above. Even the butt plate isn't too bad with correct fitting screwdrivers. No way I'd touch the recoil lug or takedown disc. The bolt disassembly is the hardest part and it's not too bad. There are lots of video tutorials out there if you get stuck.

Sadly not a rare occurrence. At least we didn't get a 23 page profanity fueled tirade.

Standard Modell 1924 - ETH or CHN?

Yeah, it was Uli from Royal Tiger. He made some videos about it. Thousands of old guns of many different types.

Germanic Script S Stamp. Early SS mark?

13 years now and this is still going on? Damn, dude is persistent AF if nothing else.

Well I'm definitely not a 'sniper' guy, but I'm gonna say no. I do however wonder how this is even attached? Glue? Double sided tape? I can add the base rifle is an RC based on the receiver x and electro pencil bolt body serial number.

    Reproduction stock

I thought the same thing. I have seen his K98 stock and it has the same look. I realize it's raw but it looks too white. Wonder how they look with Shaftol or some other treatment.

I was going to mention that. Figured it was in error.

    My 1944 G43 and 1945 K43 restoration

They look quite good compared to what you describe when you got them. Congrats!

Can someone tell me the worth of this rifle an anything to look for

I can add it was made for the Heer (Army) and not an SS contract piece.
