Hi, I present you my german helmets. So we have a M35/40 Kriegsmarine Helmet and a M40 Luftwaffe helmet. My grand father brought back the Kriegsmarine helmet from the St Nazaire pocket ( french west coast ).

I can't say if the upper band is original or not but the lower band is marked "4922" so this one seems to be added. I think.. What is the "SS" look alike on this picture ? I don't pretend it is an SS marking but it always disturbed me...

Are you really sure of what you say ? It is very important because I exchanged it with a german ww1 bayonet.... So if it is a fake one I have to send it back and take my bayonet...
