Just need a couple more rifles the complete Mauser 1871 family tree. I have been working on finishing this family tree for about six years now. I've gotten lucky several times. I got extremely lucky two years ago when I found my Kar71 for under $1000. From top to bottom.
Model 1871
1883/Amberg/4026/? Note (Butt plate is not unit marked.)
(95% of the Serial numbers are matching.)

Model 1871 jägerbüchse
1875-1876/OWG/5386j/3.A.L.3.111 (Serial numbers are all matching.)

Model 1871 Karabiner
1877-1877/Sp&Sr Suhl/1509/B.R.B.L.85 Note (Serial numbers are all matching.)

Model 1871/84
1887/Spandau/2057/G.R.R.220 Note (Serial numbers are all matching except for the bolt. Bolt matching itself.)

Model 1871/84 Jägerbüchse
1888/Spandau/7542/G.R.J.3.233 Note (Serial numbers are all matching except for the bolt.)

Good spread Mike-- I'll also upgrade you-- The numbers can be a bit wonky to read on these, but the bolt on that 71/84 jäger is matching. :) Glad it went to a good home. It'd be tough to upgrade.

Ah I was actually wondering that Chris and thank you.

I’m working on my own “tree.” The oldest rifle pictured is my paternal grandfather with a Commission 88 in 1915. I added an IG 1871 and an 1871/84. It’s a lot of fun!

Lucked into an unissued condition 1889 Amberg '71/84 a few years back. I have little interest in the type, but couldn't turn it down because of its spectacular condition. 132 years old, and counting!
