1930 K29/wz29 Radom, all matching

Good evening,

I found an all matching 1930 Radom K29/wz29 that I am looking to get tomorrow. I have been doing research but there is scant information available so far. I also understand they may have been used by German forces even without any WaA. It is prolifically covered in two, three and four digit SNs on the small parts, stock, etc. I have attached some photos (though stupidly neglected to take a picture of the left side rail but it is marked K29 and Serial Number 5002a) for your input. I understand there are thoughts that depending on the numbering conventions and orientation of the type (perpendicular vs. parallel) whether it is "purely" Polish or German used. Again, any input on the pedigree and ballpark value is appreciated.

More photos, very pleased

I picked her up today. I'll take better photos soon but here are some more of the bolt, bayonet mount, and firing pin. All matches but the firing pin does have a different number crossed out and then matched...I love it. The nicest Radom K29/wz29 I've seen. I am definitely interested in any thoughts. To boot I picked up an (unfortunately modified) Radom P.35 bnz 44 Holster for $10.

Here are a few more. When the lighting is better outside I'll try to take some more "artistic" photos. Any thoughts, opinions, or theories on the life of this rifle are appreciated!

Neat rifle and hard to find. It looks like it has some German mods to the sling swivels and with respect to the numbering, but I'm not excessively familiar with Polish numbering on these. Doesn't appear to be any German depot inspection stamps on the wrist but they could be worn away, light stamped, or never there. Just like the Vz.24, I'm sure many of these were modified at the unit level or depot level and not marked. That this rifle escaped German (or satellite) use is unlikely IMHO, just like a Vz.24 would not have escaped such use. Cool rifle, and interesting.

Thanks Hambone. I have found an interest in occupied country weapons because there is so little understood about them. If this helps with the body of knowledge, let me know what i can do to share more.

I like the German used / captured weapons "beutewaffen" as well. The Polish K.29 / Wz.29 are desirable in their own right. I'd say the removal of the bottom swivels like that and some of the numbering is very indicative of German modification. Again, like the Vz.24s, it is more likely that rifles like yours were German used than not, IMHO. It could have been police units, railway troops, satellite troops, etc., but in service for the Germans. Thanks for posting it and have a happy New Year :happy0180:

Really nice! Hunting for one in UK but have not seen any for a long time :(
