This is another firearm from my friend that inherited the K98 and KKW rifles. This one was purchased in 1983. He is interested in any comments and knowing what a value may be.
The mag serial number does not match and the grip panels do not have numbers. Everything else is matching. Bore is bright
I have a similar condition S/42 1936 Luger from the "m" block that I bought on GB about 6-7 years ago. At that time I won the auction for $1600. If you browse through Simpson Ltd. (and granted they charge a 20% seller fee, and usually hit the high end of the market, too) you see these go for ~1900-2300, and complete rigs go for a bit more.
No-serial-number grips are correct for this year/mfg. and non-matching magazines make up the majority of Lugers in my experience. Those with matching magazines and especially two matching magazine rigs often command double or more the price. Last year before they started cutting corners
