K and P KM

Maybe Andy can tell us why most KM have a K or P mark. Maybe it cut be K = Kiel and P = Peenemunde

(Kriegs Marine harbours in 2 WW - have been in both places - 10 years ago to see (with the military) Uboot werke and Marine Schule in Kiel and V1 and V2 rocket area/museum in Peenemunde - have also seen all Kriegsmarine places ins Flensburg and Dönizh office ins Glücksburg/Flensburg) but there are others KM without mark and some with ex.
