While not exactly a rework, it’s also something not seen all that often on Lugers. In as much that this pistol took either a shrapnel or more likely a bullet strike on the stock lug and lower right side of the frame. You can see the green oxidized copper from when this occurred. This is a first variation 1937, unique gun from the mix of salt and rust blue. 2800 through 3100 of the t block was the transition, you can see the rust blued barrel with strawed small parts and salt blued frame, toggle, receiver, and side plate. Uncleaned internals began the year prior in the n block.
