This is (probably) going to live with someone else soon, and since I was taking pics for him anyway, I thought I would post them up here. I don't think its been posted before.

Rough, but honest and matching bcd from the a block. Honestly, the pics make it look a little better than it is in person. I never did get around to cleaning it up. WaA134 bolt carrier which I've never seen before. Barrel is WaA134, and though the receiver doesn't have one, I assume its from St. Etienne also. Rest of the parts are Circle V marked. A decent example.

An awesome example in my opinion. Definitely a St Etienne cosmetically machine receiver. No other receiver looks like that. My own bcd example is identical. Clean it up? Absolutely not. It looks terrific just as it is. A very desirable rifle!

She’s a beauty!!!!!! I’ve got her in my listings on 07-31-2021 by you on this Forum. Excellent photos too. Neat proof stamp on the bolt carrier under the serial number.

Very nice Ryan.. Always a pleasure to see a carried combat example that hasnt suffered from post war tampering. Looks "as found" with a nice dry stock..

I love those cosmetically machined receivers. It gives hints of what the gun might have been if it hadn't been adopted on the down-slope of a lost war. I mean, I also really enjoy my late war K43 for just how visibly rough it is yet functional, they're really two sides of the same coin.

As an aside putting a FN49 with all that beautiful post-war milling and finishing work next to a late-war K43 is hilarious for the same reasons.

On the machined receiver guns, did they machine below the wood line also? Did any come out of the factory with milled covers on a milled receiver.
