Belgian M.1935 FN 1940

Been looking for one of these in nice matching shape for a long time. Mint bore, unmessed with, most all original enamel finish present.

Note: Nope, there is no Howards on the stock. Stock doesn't need cleaning or conservation. That is the original factory flaxseed protective coat, and some of it looks shinier as I've wiped the metal with Ballistol.

Question: has anyone ever seen an M1935 with a modified bayonet lug? I've seen modified 89/36, but never a 1935.

Very nice rifle. Did FN install they recoil lugs facing the other direction? I've never noticed that before.

The post war FN "1950" also features the spanner nut on both ends of the recoil bolt.

1940 FN model 1935 Mauser

I was not looking for one of these but I had come across it at Cabelas of all places. I new the rifle was unique and I really do not think they new what they had. So I bought it for $499.00. I was very happy to find out that the rifle was rare. I hope it is worth a lot more. Can some tell me what the worth is. I do not believe the rifle was ever shot. I bought a new book that has came out called FN Mausers. I found out it was a German Capture rifle from the FN plant.

Typical.
It are non-combat troops that used these "Beute Waffen".
