BSW Bayonet Lugs: White or Blued?

Hey all,
I have been looking through some 1937, 1938, 1939 year BSW references and am seeing a mixture of bayonet lugs either in the white or blued. I understand certain k98k manufactures left the lugs in the white prewar, but does anyone know if BSW specifically did this and/or what year they started bluing these? Perhaps they were always blued but wear over the years have left some examples looking as if they had no finish?

Some of the reference photos:

the 39 marked receivers that were depot built rifles will have blued lugs … most are luftampt 4 depot built ..

So barring depot built rifles, factory original BSW rifles should only have in the white finish? Hard to tell just going off of the reference photos if the metal is faded bluing or just patina

abra,
I believe BSW did in fact ship rifles w/white bayo lugs. At what time they may have switched to blue, I am not certain, but likely had to do with moving bsw rifle production to the Gustloff (bcd) facility in Weimar, while the remaining plant in Suhl switched to mg barrel-making. (IIRC) When mowzerluvr sees this, I’m sure he’ll set me straight!

Abra,
I have a matching bsw 37 and a matching bsw 39 and both rifles have in the white bayonet lugs.

Rick

Thank you for the pics Rick and Jory! Apart from the later depot built rifles as mauser99 pointed out, I think this answers my question :)
