i have owned this byf42 match number except bolt for many years, i was wondering if the mount for the zf41 is correct.
I'd like to pair it with a zf41, I ask because the original zfs are very expensive

thank you all :)

IMO the ZF41 was added. The particular base is a late war variant without the E/135 inspection on the left side of the base.
Mauser Oberndorf did not begin releasing Zf41 equipped rifles until later in 1943, in the 'g' block of 1943 serial production.
There might be an 'f' block floating around but all documented examples occur in the 'g' block.

We say: the world is small. I have always had the unconfirmed feeling that some ZF41s, although not part of the batches that were modified at the factory, were retroactively equipped with the ZF41. my feeling comes from the fact that the zf41 is not a sniper scope but a scope created for other reasons, so I believe it was possible to cannibalize the system from an out-of-use rifle. I may be wrong but if I had been a gunsmith in the field I would have done thisHave a good evening
