I've had this for a while now and finally got around to doing a proper photo shoot of it. I really love this one. It has some beautiful grain to the wood and the condition is nice.

That's a beauty. Numbering everything must have taken a lot of extra time.

Also nice photos, hard to get nice photos without reflections and glare.
 
Is that a Chevron cartouche on the right side of the stock?

I'm assuming you mean the 6 sided imprints that look like bolt heads? There is one on the same side of the stock between the lower band and rear sight. One possible theory is that it could have been mounted in some sort of rack or carrier at one time? Has any body seen marks like this on any other K98k's?

Distance between them is approx 26 3/4" and the dia approx 1/4"
