Crusty M937A Portuguese pick up

Slim pickings at the gun show today but this one made it home with me for better or worse. 1937 M937A numbers matching minus cleaning rod and bolt appears to be from a Gew 98 that has been turned down. It has pitting as seen in the pics common with these rifles but appears functional sound with a nice bore that I would rate 8/10. Paid 600.00. I have never seen one in person before so these are kinda out of my wheel house and took a gamble. More pics to follow.

Well done!
Those m/937A are a very interesting variant and their sights are definitely better than those of the original K98k.

Thanks for the replies! I wasn’t sure what these usually are valued at as I have been unable to find any recently sold examples for comparison. Seller knocked off 100 due to condition so I went for it.

They are seldom up for sale.
A clean/correct M/937A or B can usually fetch ~$2K, & B's seem to be more commonly found intact.
Regardless of condition, this mostly-matching M/937A - found for < the current price of an RC: SCORE!
Congrats on this fine theft.
