Hi there is just a stamp on the wrist. That gun was in a out of the way little gun store down south
It was not for sale and hanging above the owners display case for years. The story is its 0ne of those $24.99 ones listed in the shot gun news in the early 50s.I believe some importers bought stock from the over run Walther plant in germany.I think it was stored covered with Cosmolean for almost 10 years. When the guy that owned the gun store died the family sold the store and stock.I payed $1000 for it from a GK43 Buyer called Uncle Mel. It
Took about a year to seal the deal.I dont even know if uncle Mel is still around though i hope so he is a nice guy

Oh buy the way the 2 pencil marks to line the bolt up with for removal are still scribed on the stock
And it has a burnt powder mark inside the stock the size of a dime from just factory test fireing

The stock’s keel should have a proof stamp between the “pistol grip” and butt stock plate. You may have to shine a light to see it. The side proof stock stamp should be there, but some didn’t get it as they weren’t final proofed. Which is a possibility due to how late this one is. I have one that wasn’t sanded and did not get the final stock proof. The way you tell if it originally wasn’t there and not sanded is you have to see the diagonal wood mill lines in the stock. Sometimes they are prevalent and sometimes you need a light to shine at an angle to see it. Or, it simply could have been sanded off as so many are.

The only marks on it.Line up scribes for bolt removal. And a few proofs
