Early Single Claw Rig

Thought this one might be interesting to share .. recently found in Germany in an attic, cleaned off the rust so ended up with the result as shown. The tube has a damage (serious hit?) on the left side, still works great. Note it is the very early variant of the bmj+ with the cylindrical elevation adjustment with the numbers atop. Second detail might not be very well visible in the pictures, but to my surprise the font used on the front ring is a little different from the one on the rear ring - plus also a little bit smaller. I had not noticed this before with other SC rigs, would be interesting to see if this also applies to others.

Georg, that guy offered that to me a week ago. Please don't tell me you paid his asking price? I passed because of the terrible condition. Glad you got it cleaned up though.

That thing cleaned really nicely , I am actually surprised by how it looks now . It does not appear to be the same scope now that its cleaned up .

I may be a bit weird but I like a few of these, or some WW2 guns to show a bit of honest use including some modest battle damage. I like minty too but if I needed a SC scope I may go for this if not silly expensive. Sweaty battle used rifles do not always scare me away. I have 2 SC scopes with rifles and sold one extra scope with rings. One rifle has the best metal condition I have ever seen on a sniper but my JPS LSR is about as good metal wise. Interesting scope and thanks for posting. I have an F scope or rifle, can not recall which. Stuff is spread in too many safes and places. At least I can get lots of candid pics with my security cams.
