Expected zero for a K98k?

Good evening. I call myself searching, but my skills are lacking. I apologize if this is a repeated question. Given standard 8mm ammo, what range was used to zero the typical WWII Mauser back in the day? I’ve found some PPU FMJ 198gr that I hope is relatively clean and close to original spec (2181 Ft/Sec advertised.)

I’ve only shot my Granddad’s BYF many years ago while deer hunting, it’s been a closet queen since then. I’m just wondering what the sights would have been set up for back then.

I've seen 150 meters down to 100 meters, considering lowest sight setting is 100, i'm comfortable in saying that zeroing was done at 100 meters. The original heavy ball ammo spec was a 198 grain bullet at 2,525-2550 FPS (Call it a minimum of 2,500 fps) closest commercial production milspec will be the Hornady match and the S&B FMJ.

Some of the PPU FMJ ammo I've shot was POI very low on a 100 yard range with 100M sight setting. I think the lower velocity was the culprit.
